There is a special magic in working with larger groups. They offer the possibility to bring the whole system into one room and incorporate their feedback “live”.
Large Group Interventions, such as World Café, Appreciative Inquiry or Open Space, are characterized by a collaborative and co-creative approach with the intention to create a solution or a momentum for the people with the people. This experience can create a great sense of involvement and belonging within an organization.
Depending on the situation at hand, it can make sense to combine elements of the Larger Group Interventions with more traditional forms of larger events (Impulse or expert speeches, Network Building, Entertainment). Not in all aspects and decisions the whole system can and should be involved, some things have to be set ma the management. This differentiated involvement needs a clear choreography and a facilitator that know how to conduct larger groups.
